Luis Crawford
As a teenager:
“I was very happy go lucky, I used to skateboard, play football and see friends. Although life wasn’t perfect I did have an outlet to escape troubles at home. Having not thought about the future and starting to take drugs and drink excessively this led me into entering into adulthood bewildered about what I was meant to do in life. Getting in to yoga and mindfulness gave me the tools and skills in order for me to be able to be present and aware of each moment. It stops me from worrying about what I should or shouldn’t do and allows me to be centred with whatever it is I have chosen to do.”
Luis is currently working towards a degree in Psychology and Clinical studies at the University of Kent. Psychology has not always been the path he chose and he has made a big change from his previous occupation of being an electrician. In 2017 he decided to travel to India to do his 200 hour yoga teacher training. Upon his return he has started to work at the local studios in Margate. In the future Luis aims to combine his passion of yoga with his interest in Psychology to not only serve his own needs but the needs of the community in which he resides in.
