Days for students:
Take place in your setting
Feature allocated time during the school day to understand the group of learners
Maximum of 20 young people (ideally, we recommend 15)
Encourage teacher participation
Follow a flexible structure, tailored to pupils’ needs on the day
Incorporate neuro-science to teach young people about their brains and responses
Explain how the physiological benefits of yoga and mindfulness support emotional wellbeing and self-regulation
Offer a nurturing space for students to feel accepted and supported ‘as they are’
Feature a range of mindful breathing and movement techniques, at least two yoga sequences and in-depth activities focused on improving mindset and confidence
